Try out these simple and fast poppy seed ham and cheese sliders. They make a terrific lunch or dinner on those busy weekdays you don’t have a lot of time to spare in the kitchen.

- 4 buns
- 16 slices of cheese (cheddar or provolone recommended)
- 8 slices of ham
- ½ cup butter
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 180° C (350° F)
- Cut the buns in half and put the lower pieces on an oven tray.
- Place one slice of cheese on each lower bun half.
- Layer the slices of ham on top of the cheese slices. Place the remaining cheese slices on top of the ham.
- Cover with the top of the buns.
- Whisk melted butter with mustard, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Brush or pour the sauce on top of the buns. Bake in the oven at 180° C (350° F) for about 20 minutes.
