Description

This simple recipe for pork loin chops is one that every cook (newbie or veteran) should have on hand! It’s easy, fast, delicious and versatile.

Ingredients

Scale

4 pork loin chops, thick cut (approximately 1 inch)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and swirl around the pan.
  3. Season both sides of each pork loin chop heavily with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and brown (about 2 minutes) before flipping. Brown on second side.
  4. Move skillet to oven and bake pork loin chops for 15 to 20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees is reached. Rest pork loin chops for 5 minutes prior to serving to help the meat retain its juices when cut.

Notes

Cook’s notes: Seasoning heavily is required to bring out the flavor in the pork. Consider adding ⅛ teaspoon of salt and pepper to each side.
