Skillet Creamed Corn

Description

The heavy cream and butter make this creamed corn recipe such a comfort food! It’s a terrific fall or winter dish that is simple to put together and requires only a few ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups corn
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream 
  • Chopped parsley for garnish – optional

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, mix together corn, sugar, butter, salt, pepper, & heavy cream. 
  2. Stir to combine. 
  3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. After the corn is done simmering, reduce heat to low and stir in flour.
  5. Cook for five more minutes while stirring.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish, and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve & enjoy!
