- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8–10 taco shells
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish:
- Tomatoes, diced
- Avocado, sliced
- Lettuce
- Sour cream
Instructions
- In a large skillet add olive oil, wait until it gets hot and sauté diced onion.
- Add garlic and 1 pound of ground beef, cook for 5-10 minutes until it gets brown.
- Add spices and stir it. Lastly add tomato sauce and cornmeal, reduce it until it has the right texture. It shouldn’t be too liquidy.
- Spoon about ⅓ cup taco meat into each shell and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and broil in oven until cheese melts.
- Decorate the tacos with tomatoes, lettuce, avocado slices, and a spoon of sour cream.
