Ingredients
- Butter (ยฝ cup, room temperature)
- 1 egg
- Cinnamon powder (1/2 tsp)
- Ginger powder (1/2 tsp)
- Molasses (2/3 cup)
- Sugar (1/3 cup)
- Flour (2 cups)
- Hot water (1 cup)
Instructions
Step 1: Take a bowl and add the soften butter to it. Beat the soften room temperature butter with a whisk.
Step 2: Add an egg to the butter.
Step 3: Add in the molasses, sugar, ginger, cinnamon powder, and baking powder to the bowl as well and then whisk them all together.
Step 4: Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Step 5: Now add in the flour to the mixed ingredients.
Step 6: Mix the flour until everything is well incorporated.
Step 7: The batter will get thicker as youโll add all the flour and mix them together.
Step 8: Now gradually add few tablespoon of hot water into the mixture and mix well.
Step 9: After mixing in all of the water you should have a slightly thin batter.
Step 10: preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit for 10 min. Pour in the mixture in a lined baking pan and bake for 30-40 min.
