- 5 ounces Brie cheese (for cuffs and epaulettes)
- 3 ounces salami
- 8 ounces chorizo
- 8 ounces Black Diamond Cheddar cheese
- 2 ounces regular Cheddar (square)
- 1/3 cup pitted olives
- 5 breadsticks
- 3/4 cup pretzels and mini crackers
- 2 ounces smoked pigtail cheese
- 6 lettuce leaves
- a little Bolognese and bell pepper
Instructions
- Form the Nutcracker’s face. Trim the corners of the Cheddar cheese and place it on the board, centered on top. Add eyes, eyebrows, and a mustache using olives. Arrange the cheeks using Bolognese sausage or hot dogs.
- Add breadsticks of varying lengths to the board. Cut the smoked pigtail cheese into pieces and separate the fibers. Use the fibers as the nutcracker’s hair. Peel the chorizo and cut it in half lengthwise. Arrange the pieces as arms.
- Place the salami at the bottom of the board as a trivet. Form four 5cm diameter cylinders from the Brie cheese. Arrange these as epaulettes and cuffs. Trim the waxy rind of the Black Diamond Cheddar cheese and form it into a belt. Cut the Black Diamond cheese into bite-sized pieces and place them in the upper right corner of the composition. Add a cap of olives and a beard of smoked pigtail cheese. Arrange the pretzels and crackers in a mirror image on either side of the centerpiece. Add lettuce leaves and serve the board!
