Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb of macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- dash of salt & pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 ½ cups soft bread crumbs
- salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 3 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- To begin, cook one pound of macaroni to al dente. You can use the traditional elbow macaroni or any variation that you have on hand. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 2 cups cottage cheese, 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese, 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup milk, a dash of salt & pepper, a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Stir those together and set aside for a moment.
- In a dish, combine 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs, a bit of salt & pepper, and a tablespoon of parsley. Stir those together and pour in 3 tablespoons of melted butter. Stir them well until mixed.
- When your macaroni is done cooking, drain it and add it to the bowl. Stir it all together.
- Pour the pasta into a lightly greased 9×13 or equivalent baking dish. Spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the top of the dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden.
