No Bake Energy Balls: Monster Cookies

These energy balls only require five ingredients, and they make a great healthy snack. They taste just like traditional monster cookies but don’t require any time in the oven. Can’t get much simpler than this!

Just one or two of these energy balls and you’ll have the boost you need to get through your next task, even if it’s a homeschool exercise session with your kids.

What You’ll Need for the Energy Balls

Here are the five ingredients you want to gather together:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup peanut butter chips
  • ¼ cup M&Ms

How to Make the Energy Balls

Step One:

Alright, let’s make some delicious no-bake energy balls that resemble monster cookies. First, grab a large bowl. Now all you have to do is add all the ingredients to the bowl. Just five ingredients. Make sure they’re all in there.

Once everything’s in the bowl, it’s time to mix it all up. Use a spoon or spatula to thoroughly mix the ingredients together. You want to make sure everything is well combined, so keep mixing until you’re satisfied.

Now comes the fun part – shaping the mixture into balls! Take about 1-½ tablespoons of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball. Don’t worry about making them perfect – they’re going to taste amazing no matter what shape they are!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup honey

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until combined.
  2. Scoop out about 1-½ tbsp of the mixture and roll into a ball.
  3. Repeat this process and place all of the energy balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Place in the refrigerator for 30-35 minutes or until slightly firm.

Notes

  • Store these energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. You can make them ahead and place them in the freezer as well for 1-2 months. Defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours before enjoying.
  • Use any nut butter including sunflower or almond butter instead of peanut butter.
  • Swap any flavor of chocolate chip for the peanut butter chips if preferred.
