Pretzel turtles are the perfect combination of sweet and salty, and they might just be one of the easiest treats you will ever make. With crunchy pretzels, soft caramel, and melted chocolate, pretzel turtles come together quickly and always feel like a crowd favorite.

These St. Patrick’s Day pretzel turtles add a festive touch with colorful drizzles and simple decorations that make them stand out on any dessert tray. They look fun and impressive, but they are made with just a handful of ingredients and very little effort.

If you love recipes that are quick, reliable, and a little bit playful, pretzel turtles are an easy go to. You can make a batch in minutes and have something ready to share for a party, a homeschool treat, or just a fun afternoon in the kitchen.

Whether you are celebrating or just want something simple and festive, these pretzel turtles bring just the right mix of ease, flavor, and fun.

Gather your ingredients for the pretzel turtles:
35 (approximately) small pretzel twists
35 (approximately) pecan halves, lightly toasted and salted
1 (8-ounce) package of Rolo Unwrapped Caramel Candies
Yellow candy melts
Green candy melts
St Patrick’s Day sprinkles

To get started on these super-easy pretzel turtles, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line your favorite baking sheet with parchment paper and place pretzel twists in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Then, on top of each pretzel, place a Rolo candy in the middle. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until candies are soft but not melted. Remove from the oven and try to not to eat them yet!

Next, immediately press one pecan half down on top of each Rolo candy. Press the candy through the pretzel to spread the Rolo so the pecan half stays in place. Allow the pretzel turtles to cool completely on the baking sheet. Placing the turtles in the refrigerator will cool them faster, but setting them out on the counter will work just as well.

After cooling, place pretzel turtles on a wire rack. Melt each colored candy coating in individual bowls according to package directions.  Drizzle each color, one at a time, over the turtles in a crisscross or ribbon design. Immediately add the sprinkles on top of the melted candy coating. Allow candy coating to set before storing it in an air-tight container to prevent turtles from sticking together. A bit of wax paper in between each turtle layer will also prevent sticking. Place turtle pretzels back into the refrigerator to speed up the setting process.

Pretzel turtles are one of those simple recipes you will find yourself coming back to again and again. They are quick to make, easy to customize, and always a hit whether you are serving them at a gathering or just making something fun at home.

If you are looking for a festive treat that does not require a lot of time or effort, these pretzel turtles are a perfect choice. Make a batch, share them with your family, and enjoy a little extra fun in the kitchen this St. Patrick’s Day.
