16 Summer Snack Ideas (A Summer Round Up)

Summer is here, and that means many families will be taking time off from homeschooling to enjoy lazy days, vacations, swimming, trips to the beach or the zoo, and lots of other fun summertime activities. That means it’s time to pull out my stock of summer snack ideas.

Seriously, at my house, my teens seem to always be hungry! During the summer, it seems that they are even hungrier than usual. I think swimming and other outside activities make them hungry, and sometimes that means feeding half the neighborhood when the neighborhood kids are out of school too.

So that made me think about sharing some posts with some healthy summer snack ideas as well as some less healthy treats that I occasionally serve during those hot summer days. I hope you find some snacks and treats that your family enjoys!

8 Summer Snack Ideas from Other Homeschoolers

Confessions of a Homeschooler shared a post with Healthy Snacks for Kids. Most of these are super quick and easy too!

The Unlikely Homeschool has some great ideas for healthy homemade snacks in Top 10 School Day Snacks for Homeschool. These ideas work not only for school days, but they’re also great suggestions for days when you have a little more time to prepare and want to have snacks you can serve your kiddos without feeling guilty!

Teach Beside Me included both quick and easy store-bought snack ideas as well as some simple recipes for Healthy Snacks for Kids.

Kitschy Homeschool shared a post with some yummy recipe ideas for both snacks and sweets! It’s simply called Snacks & Desserts.

Raising Lifelong Learners featured a post with Creative Snack Ideas for Kids. Even if you have picky little ones, you’ll find something they’ll love in this post!

These chicken salad bites are not only great for summertime, but they’re also easy to make (your kids can even help!).

The summer months are the best time to try your hand at homemade ice cream. Here’s a recipe that only needs five ingredients.
