Easy One Pot Chicken Alfredo
You will love this easy One Pot Chicken Alfredo recipe. It utilizes cooked chicken that you may have leftover from another meal, a rotisserie chicken from the deli, or some of the basic chicken that you have prepared for future meals, using the slow cooker recipe we have here on Hip Homeschool Moms.
To begin, cook 12 ounces of your favorite pasta according to package directions.
When the pasta is finished cooking, pour it into a colander to drain. In the same pot you cooked the pasta in, melt 6 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. When it is melted, pour in 2 cups of half & half.
Add in 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Bring this all to a gentle simmer.
Whisk in a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese, stir until melted.
Add in 2 cups of diced or shredded cooked chicken. Return the pasta to the pot with the sauce and stir to combine.
