Ingredients for New Year’s Eve Fortune Cookies Recipe
- 2 boxes of fortune cookies (I used La Choy Fortune Cookies)
- 1 12-oz bag of black candy melts
- 1 12-oz bag of white candy melts
- Gold sprinkles
- Silver sprinkles
- White sprinkles
How to Make New Year’s Eve Fortune Cookies
1. Remove fortune cookies from the box. Unwrap if necessary, and then set aside.
2. Place black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and melt according to the directions on the bag. Once black candies are melted, melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl following the directions on the bag.
3. One at a time, dip a fortune cookie into one of the colored melted candy, allowing the excess to drip off. While the candy is still wet, sprinkle it with your desired sprinkle color. Dip half of the fortune cookies in black candy melts and half of the fortune cookies in white candy melts.
4. Place on a parchment-lined cooling rack or cookie sheet and allow the candy melts to set for about 30 minutes.
