Santa’s Favorite Cookies – M&M Cookie Bars
If you’ve got a little time to make a sweet treat, but you need something that’s fairly quick and that will please your kids, this is a great recipe! Because these are bars, they’re faster to make than cookies. You just put one pan in the oven, bake it, and cut them into bars. And you probably already have the ingredients on hand.
M&M Cookie Bars

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare a 9×13 edged baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a different mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and sugar until well blended and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla.
Slowly add the flour mixture until completely blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and about half the M&M candies.
Press the dough into the baking pan and press remaining M&M candies into the top of the dough.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the middle is set and the edges are lightly browned. Cool completely before slicing.
