These no-bake cookies come together quickly but feel special enough for a party or a homeschool treat. From bright rainbow designs to playful leprechaun faces and pots of gold, each version adds a fun and hands-on element that kids will love helping create.

The best part is that you likely already have most of what you need in your pantry, making this a simple go-to when you want something festive without a big plan.

Whether you are celebrating at home, adding something fun to your homeschool day, or just looking for an easy seasonal treat, these St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Cookies are guaranteed to bring smiles.

We’ve already posted Christmas Oreos, Polar Animal Oreos, and even Angry Birds-themed Oreos. But today, in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day, here are some fun St. Patrick’s Day Oreo cookies.

We’ll be making a pot of gold, a leprechaun, and a rainbow. You can improvise and create your own versions of any of these or even other St. Patrick’s Day symbols—such as a four-leaf clover.

For the base, you can choose any style of Oreo with any filling you like. For the coating, you’ll want to use melted chocolate or candy melts. (We used white chocolate drops, as it’s easy to color with food coloring and it hardens quickly with no lumps.)

For decorations, we used candy sprinkles and ribbons. You will also need chocolate chips or candy eyes. Here’s the full list of ingredients you’ll want to use for the St. Patrick’s Day Oreo cookies.

How to make the St. Patrick’s Day themed cookies

First, let’s decorate the pot of gold.

Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave on pulse mode. Divide the Oreos in half. Cut the rainbow candy into two pieces. Spread some chocolate over the filling, lay out the rainbow candy, and press the cookies down.

Spoon a teaspoon of melted chocolate on top of the Oreos. Before it hardens, arrange the yellow candy to stand for gold coins. Sprinkle with a little glittery edible powder if desired.

Chill them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Okay, here’s how to make the rainbows:

Melt the white chocolate in a steam bath or in the microwave, 30 seconds at a time.

Place the Oreos on a board. Cover the cookies with white chocolate.

Arrange the M&M’s in the shape of a rainbow, alternating the candies by color.

Place clouds – white confetti and sprinkles – around the edge. Refrigerate the treats.

Next, Leprechauns!

Place the Oreos on the board. Cut a small piece of green ribbon candy, place it on the cookies, and trim it to create the margins of the leprechaun’s hat. Cut out the brim.

Place the hat on the cookie and check that everything looks trim and proper. Cut out the second hat according to the pattern.

Color the white chocolate with a little bit of food coloring to where it looks like skin color. Place the chocolate on the cookies. Arrange the hats.

Sprinkle orange sprinkles for the beard. Add chocolate chips for eyes and beads for the noses. Refrigerate until chocolate has firmed up.
